The inaugural record-setting WPT World Championship Event at Wynn Las Vegas was named the 2022 Event of the Year at the Global Poker Awards and included a massive field of 2,960 runners. Canada’s Eliot Hudon claimed victory and the top prize of $4,136,000.

The 2023 Festival features an exciting 4 week schedule of tournaments including the WPT Prime Championship, Ladies Event, Seniors Event, and the return of the Mystery Bounty. The complete schedule will be finalized and announced soon so you still have plenty of time to make your plans to join us in Las Vegas!

WSOP Week 6 Achievements

Week 6 of the WSOP began with the record-shattering Main Event!

The record for the largest WSOP Main Event field in its 54-year history was broken with a total of 10,043 entries. The event generated a total prize pool of $93,399,900, smashing the previous record of $82,512,162 set in 2006 that had a total of 8,773 entrants.

LearnWPT Instructor and WPT Commentator Tony Dunst battled and played like the Champion he is but fell just short in his quest to secure his 3rd WSOP Bracelet after getting knocked out when his straight was beat by a straight flush sending Tony out in 66th place on Day 6.

As always Tony went out with class and style. We are extremely proud to have Tony as part of Team LearnWPT and can't wait to cheer on his next remarkable performance on the felt.

Week 5 of the WSOP brought our 1st WSOP Bracelet of the Series!

Long-time LearnWPT Student Tamar "Tammy" Abraham took home her first WSOP Bracelet in the record-breaking Ladies Championship and banked an impressive $192,167 for the win. Surrounded by supporters and fellow members of the Women's Poker Association (WPA) to help cheer her on, Tammy secured her place in the record books as the victor of the largest Ladies Event field in poker history.

Tammy’s love for poker and the dedication to working on her game all came together at the perfect time as she rose to the top and fearlessly battled to claim the bracelet. We are extremely proud of her accomplishment and can't wait to see what's next.

In the 2019 WSOP Sue emerged as the victor in the $500 buy-in Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold’em event defeating the field of 1,723 entries earning $121,161 in the process and was only woman to win an open No-Limit Hold'em event during the 2019 series.

➧ LearnWPT Student Brett Coltman

In the 2022 WSOP, LearnWPT Member Brett took 2nd in the $500 buy-in Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold’em event ! After 3 grueling days and 3,200 entrants, Brett was able to turn his $500 buy-in into a huge score of $99,676.

➧ LearnWPT Student Randy Chamberlain

In the 2022/23 WSOPC Event in Thunder Valley, LearnWPT Member Randy took 2nd in the $1,700 buy-in main event outlasting 726 opponents to take home a cool $126,828 for his efforts.

➧ LearnWPT Students Lisa and Scott Roberts

The couple that plays together, stays together, at least that’s the case for long-time LearnWPT Students Scott and Lisa Roberts. This poker poker couple have been married 40 years and are affectionately known as Team Roberts.

With Scott's 3 Rings and Lisa's 2 Rings, Team Roberts have amassed a total of 5 WSOP Circuit rings, over $400K in combined tournament winnings, and are traveling the world playing the game they love!
